Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
I'm not going to lie. I thought this whole covid-19 was just a hoax and it was something to scare us all during the election....With that being said. Last week Monday I developed a fever and breathing problems. I really thought I had the virus. But in reality I was showing symptoms of a panic attack. But in my mind I believed I was dying and that there was nothing that was going to save me. I started to get better by the end of the week. Last Sunday I was having horrible chest and sinus pressure. I again believed that I was dying and that I had the virus. That wasn't the case either. My symptoms were none other than panic attacks and now I'm slowly getting better. Still some tightness in my chest, but not as bad as it was before. I've had panic attacks before. But none like this before. I think we are all a little on edge and are so afraid of what is going to happen to us. At this point I am now more calm and more aware of what the symptoms are and been really good at cleaning and staying inside. I hope and pray none of you have it and if you did I pray that you get over it quickly.

I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying. I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there. I think that I will start writing in it again. It's so therapeutic.

Years ago, I won a mirrored armoire from my job. It's in my bedroom but I rarely stand in front of it. Yesterday, I had to have a dexascan done so I had to change into a gown. There was a full length mirror in the changing room. I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like. It was a reality check.
Calm and more aware. Good for you!
My hatches are batoned and I am hunkered in the bunker with the crew of my little ship of fools. It is a good day to die. Don't much care what kills me as long as I make my journey to whatever's next with honor and courage. Despite what the anti-smokers tell me, I still don't believe there is a Good way to die any more than I believe I can be young and cute on my 500th birthday, even with youthfully tinted hair.
Is this The Big One? Has Mother Nature finally unleashed her extinction powers on the human species? For the sake of Her other-species children, I kinda hope so. I have never once doubted the brass ovaries bitch had the capability and motive to do so.
These are tough times but we are all in it together - for better days ahead!
Stay healthy and safe.
I'm glad to hear you are OK. I too suffer from GAD and Panic Attacks and a bit of germophobia. This whole health crisis thing is a lot to handle for sure. Every time we receive an order of food that has to be sterilized and handled carefully I panic. I have a hard time believing it's OK after its carefully cleaned by my Dad. This is all just too much to handle for sure.
Welcome and Take Care, Keep writing too, it has helped me.

I just read your reply to Onnyyxx's post and just had to say thank you for your kind words and reassurance that we are indeed all in this together.
I too am struggling to make sense of things and trying to find ways to both keep busy and to control my Fears and near-constant anxiety.
I am leaning on my Faith and Hobbies to distract myself and keep busy. This support group is helping me feel less isolated and alone.
Take Care and Keep Writing! We all need your encouraging words right now.
Be Well,
