General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. I've literally had anxiety my entire life. I've been pretty okay handling it until I got kicked out of my parent's house when I was 18.. I had to start taking xanax.. my anxiety took off even worse when I started living with my husband two years ago. The financial stress has really gotten to the point where I can't eat without feeling sick, sleepless nights and above all, this triggers my fibromyalgia and IBS.. which makes things a lot worse for me as you can imagine. I don't remember a night where I felt good and relaxed.. my fibromyalgia has gotten to the point of no return. I had to quit my job due to the pain, so now I can't pay for my xanax, acupuncture or my chiropractor. And there goes my stress level, way through the roof as well. I guess it feels good to vent about this, and I've tried numerous other waysto deal with anxiety such as deep breathing, picturing myself on the beach, hot baths, calming music.. etc.. it all helps to a point, for about five minutes.. does anyone have any other coping skills, especially at night? :(

I did the dumbest thing today. I charged my earbuds, unplugged the block and put the block in my little bag instead of the earbuds. I wasn't happy about that when I got to the gym. What a dummy!

Years ago, I won a mirrored armoire from my job. It's in my bedroom but I rarely stand in front of it. Yesterday, I had to have a dexascan done so I had to change into a gown. There was a full length mirror in the changing room. I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like. It was a reality check.
With fibromyalgia, you have to know what is the origin of the pain, the path the pain takes as it moves, and how to help the pain naturally decrease.
With digestive system issues, you have to learn what starts the pain, what works to stop the pain, and how it can be handled naturally.
You've taken the important first step in venting here, because accepting that you have pain makes it easier to work through it.
Those people who understand that they feel their anxiety and recognize those physical symptoms from childhood often have immediate success in reducing certain triggers once they find those triggers. What happens next, usually, is that the time feeling better is about a few minutes, and then you have to start again.
For fibromyalgia, flow into the movement and practice this for every position. You'll find what exact level feels the most comfortable for getting out of bed safely (gentle stretches while laying down, rolling, one part move), standing up, sitting down, walking stopping, picking up something, and what I did was use a stick drawing to help me see the pain. Once I got this done, it was much easier to figure out what was causing the anxiety symptoms.
With the digestive system, I used journal to help find the connection with the fibromyalgia symptoms, anxiety symptoms, and then worked on keeping hydrated as mild dehydration increases the chances of having this party moment when I least wanted it.
When I am at the point where it overwhelms me, I just distract myself by letting it come on the stage, putting a party hat on it, and add things to enjoy it. Once I stopped fearing it, it was easier to find ways to help reduce it.
I hope this helps, and know you are not alone with this.
Best wishes.
