General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...

Control – This is my topic of the day. I keep thinking about it, what do I control in my life? Many people will say, ‘I have control over my life, I can do what I want when I want’, but really is that true? Can anyone say that now? I sure as shit can’t. I look at my life and go “Can I have one area of my life where I could say I control when I do this?” I can’t even control how clean my house is because I am not the only person who cleans it (and I shouldn’t have to be.) I ride a bus to and from work every day, so I certainly can’t control when I get to work each day. I rely on a ride just to get to the bus stop. Once at work, I rely on other people to give me the reports that I need to be able to do my job (almost every aspect I have to wait for someone to either give me an invoice or give me permission to make a payment). Oh and most of the 40 hours that I sit at work, I spend without work to do, but I also can’t work on some of the things that I need to do at home and so I stress even more because I could do plenty of things, but it is all home stuff, and I can only work on that so much…., and then I ride the busses home, and have to just deal with whatever time I get home (usually around 6 pm) I can’t even control when I do my laundry.
Other things I can’t control, let’s see. My husband is involved in a CPS case that is taking it’s county forever to even get the case started (so we have already been fighting to get his two kids back when they should never have been taken from us in the first place.) The fight started a the week before Halloween.
I can’t control how much my ex lets me talk to my son (which is never anyway) oh, and no one seems to care about that.
I also hate listening to whiny rich bitches who have no idea what real need or suffering is. It just makes all the things that I have no control over worse because I can’t even have a safe place in my stupid shared office.
One lesson that I used to know told me this. You cannot control the things that go into your life, you can only control what you bring to the mat.

I did the dumbest thing today. I charged my earbuds, unplugged the block and put the block in my little bag instead of the earbuds. I wasn't happy about that when I got to the gym. What a dummy!

Years ago, I won a mirrored armoire from my job. It's in my bedroom but I rarely stand in front of it. Yesterday, I had to have a dexascan done so I had to change into a gown. There was a full length mirror in the changing room. I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like. It was a reality check.
