Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. Well I have multiple myeloma diagnosed June 2017 doing fairly well minus
side effects of the cancer and meds but I am in fear of going broke from
medical bills. I have been unable to work and just started up part time.
of course being 65 I’m not much in demand so I drive for left which I really
like get to meet lots of people and all. I collect social security and I’m on
medicare but it still has big medical and drug costs. I can not shake this fear
from my brain. Everyday it just consumes me. I’m depressed and even-though
i have a loving and supportive wife and adult kids I feel all alone. I go to therapy
and take Paxil but they are not helping in any way. I do have savings but nowhere
enough. My house is mortgage free. I should be great full for what I have but i
am just living in fear. I have been having some bad ideas lately, which adds to
the depression and anxiety, although I won’t act on them. I have 3 grandkids
that live with us for the last 6 years and now my parents are having health problems
also. It’s just all piling up and it just brings up thoughts that I’m a failure .
just had to vent.

I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying. I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there. I think that I will start writing in it again. It's so therapeutic.

Years ago, I won a mirrored armoire from my job. It's in my bedroom but I rarely stand in front of it. Yesterday, I had to have a dexascan done so I had to change into a gown. There was a full length mirror in the changing room. I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like. It was a reality check.
Gratitude lists help me to balance the on-going stresses in life, but they are NOT a panacea. Being grateful that my mortgage is paid off won't do much to counter new medical bills, grand dependents or declining parents. Balance, yes. Counter, no.
Vent freely. Vent often. If nothing else, it helps keep the inventory organized.
Welcome aboard.
I agree with Arfie. I don't have any suggestions for the medical bills.
Best wishes and keep on being positive, you are valuable and far stronger than you realize!
