Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
I am so disappointed that my anxiety came back. I traced it back to around Sept. 2011, but now when I look at how 2011 went as a whole and some inner conflicts it has probably been back since Dec., 2012, just started with the fear of dying and having a heart attack again in Sept. 2011.
My wife thinks I cannot beat this latest attack w/o talking to someone, I feel I have made great strides, but she says that living in fear of dying each day is no fun, plus, while she does not expect me to die any time soon, it wears on her to hear me talk this way and she just hopes when I am rambling that my oldest son (10) does not catch wind and start asking questions.
I really want to resist getting help, not sure why, maybe a sign of weakness, etc. Maybe cause I know I am messed up and really do not want to know how bad, who knows...but, I completely understand trying to beat this thing and wishing it would stay beat.
It always seems to have a way of coming back around and making us crazy.
Good Luck!!
I will say the outside help I've gotten from therapists, support groups and psychiatrists has saved my life.
I consider it all the time, I want to be better, but, sometimes I wonder what is deep inside they may find, almost like battling my chest pain and going to the doctor, waiting to hear "you are having a heart attack" which has not happened.
Plus, it's another thing to find time for in an already to busy schedule. Though that is more of an excuse than a reason I suppose. I know my wife would be 100% supportive and carry whatever load she had to if it helped me and us.
