I'm visiting family in New York. Today is my third day here. It hasn't been going well because I've been feeling anxious and awkward around them. I wasn't always like this. I'm kind of embarrassed of myself and I don't want them to see me as grumpy or antisocial or not interested in their company. Today I was going to journal out my thoughts although it hasn't really been helping me. My sister suggested that I challenge my thoughts instead. So I wrote down what I was thinking and did three challenges teach negative thought. I plan on using this as often as I can . The problem arises when as soon as I get an anxious thought or feeling around others and I want to challenge it I can't at that moment until I have to be patient with myself and allow myself to experience certain feelings in the moment with the remembrance that I'll be able to challenge the thoughts as soon as I can.

I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying. I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there. I think that I will start writing in it again. It's so therapeutic.

Years ago, I won a mirrored armoire from my job. It's in my bedroom but I rarely stand in front of it. Yesterday, I had to have a dexascan done so I had to change into a gown. There was a full length mirror in the changing room. I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like. It was a reality check.

Do, do be gentle with yourself and patient with the process.
Steadying support while you stretch your comfort zone.
For what it's worth
I consider posts such as this one to be part of my therapy journal. They serve the purpose with the benefit of plausible deniability. I gotta hunt them down in order to prove I really *did* say that.
