Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
Second, I recently learned of a test that can determine if you have a mutation in the MTHFR gene. If you do, it means you may be folate and B12 deficient - they can test for that too. Folate and B12 are absolutely essential to good mental health (among other things).
Folate is SO crucial to a healthy pregnancy that folic acid is added to anything enriched or fortified (cereals, breads, wheat flour, etc.). When you have the MTHFR gene mutation, however, you can't convert folic acid into usable folate. The folic acid builds up and causes problems while you don't get the folate you need.
If you have the gene mutation and it's addressed properly, it can lower your risk of Alzheimer's and auto-immune illnesses as well. Some doctors feel that it may also lower the risk of miscarriages.
You may want to ask your doctor about these tests. For me, I want to address root causes before treating symptoms.

Alternative doctors are very open to exploring this but MD's may or may not be. MD's use prescription meds so they may not be familiar with vitamin therapy and this testing.
If you feel you'd like to get tested but your doctor can't do it, the site above offers testing. Not sure if it's the best price so look around.
