The more you listen to the negative mind chatter going on in your head, the more it grows. You need to do some relaxation and clear your mind.
Sit very comfortably. Release the tension in your shoulders. Bring them down. Release the tension in your arms and legs. Be comfortable. Breathe in slowly through your nose to the count of 4. Hold it to the count of 4. Exhale slowly through your mouth to the count of 4. Let the thoughts flow out. Do the breathing. Focus your thoughts on something you really love or somewhere you've been that is the most relaxing you've ever felt. Keep breathing. Hold your mind on the calming, relaxing image.
Teach yourself to remove yourself from the anxiety and train your focus on something in the here and now. BE PRESENT. Look at the flowers blooming or the tree in your yard.
If you practice this a couple of times a day, it will become second nature to you and you will find it MUCH easier to get past anxiety.
