What happens when we relax past the point we usually do, our body goes into "work" mode, and that is how anxiety affects us-it works.
The best thing I can give you is to get up, keep moving, distract your thought process, and try being mindful, in the moment.

I like Mideye's Rep!y. I don't follow it perfectly, but I believe s/he understands the issue. Um, relaxation levels, yes. Relax extra much without preparing oneself and things start wanting to come out of the closet :o . :)
That is what happens to me, so I get up, walk around, and find my stress of anxiety leaving naturally, then back to the thing I was doing to feel better.
I'm trying to figure out how to explain it, and not sure if this helps or not.
About chamomile, if it's strong, I think it can have a more stimulating affect. I agree that trying the tea at different times might be a good way to test out your reactions.
on the other hand, licorice root tea which is a stimulant for most people helps calm me, and helps me sleep at night.
So yes, chamomile can cause more anxiety for some people somehow. I'm one of them. And its NO. JOKE.
But maybe leave it alone for a while just Incase
