Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
There are two groups here, one a group upset at the status of their lives and results, and two, those whose anxiety seem unrelated to specific things. I just read an impressive book for the first called, The Score Will Take Care of Itself, by Bill Walsh.
One source of anxiety is the feeling if we came up short we failed, at a job or something else. But this book written by a winning football coach says the opposite, don't overemphasize the result, but instead on being prepared and doing a good job. If you worked hard and did your best, then be satisfied and stop looking at the result.
He says the key is preparation and maximizing your probability of success. If you don't have the job you like, and you spent your Saturday talking to friends about contacts, researching your prospective employer, and having people review your resume, be happy regardless of whether you got the job. Try to honestly evaluate your effort instead of the result and you will ultimately be successful, and the Score will Take Care of Itself.

Keep up the great work on yourselves; I'm rooting for all of you!So, I started doing therapy at the beginning of the year, when I was in my most depressed state, but with my therapist, I made big changes and steps in the right direction. But, over a month ago, she couldn't take my insurance anymore, and I had to stop...
when i get too caught up in looking at the results, good, bad or shades in between, i frequently remind myself that the story isn't over yet. developments in progress. who knows what tomorrow may bring?
it helps me to stay task oriented. if i can find joy in the task at hand --even the tasks i don't like-- my end results are typically more joyful, as well. while it's great to have dreams and ambitions, our journey unfolds one step at a time.
i wonder if i could translate the title into one of my own life philosophies, "take care of the little things and the big things are already taken care of." just wondering. i'm not much of a scorekeeper. . .
