I am so sorry that your family laughed at you when you had your first panic attack. My family also liked to cause me to have attacks and made fun of me. It was awful.
The thing I've found is that most people aren't like that. Here on these boards you can find so much support and care and compassion. It's wonderful. And most friends are more likely to help you than make fun of your anxiety. If they make fun maybe they aren't really friends.

a couple of years ago it was 2 or 3 times a week. Bad ones to the point
that I would take an Ativan and go sit in the parking lot of my local hospitals's ER. It would give me some relief to know I was that close if
