Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...

Last night I found myself asking myself "Is everything going to be ok"? It's the fact that we are moving and its causing alot of distress.
Roomie and I talked about what we are keeping and whats going furniture wise last night. I did manage to list my dining room table and I think I sold it this morning. Tonight I will list my weight bench and treadmill which will go quickly. Treadmills always do. And which set of dishes to keep? I have good ones and bad ones. But really to many for two people. So one set will go. We did decide to keep an antique hutch which is currently in the dimenishing dining room but will now go into the guest room for a dresser. We looked at the plans of the house last night..trying to play tetris with the remaining peices of furniture. Roomie found out the concrete company pouring the slab for the metal building is 6 weeks out. So, it won't be built in time to move. We will have to rent storage to put all his tools in, part his antique car projects in the yard and throw a tarp over them for the time being. Seller is sending contract to look over tonight.
I recently started taking antidepressants anti anxiety meds and had to stop becuase they gave me headaches. But now I wonder if they would help more.

Years ago, I won a mirrored armoire from my job. It's in my bedroom but I rarely stand in front of it. Yesterday, I had to have a dexascan done so I had to change into a gown. There was a full length mirror in the changing room. I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like. It was a reality check.

"don't be a hate hole" has been one of my recent mantras which seems to be escaping my mouth more and more often. it emerges when i am faced with the endless list of chores i would rather not deal with. insurance. head lice. bureaucracy. in-laws. the list goes on and on and on and on, ad infinitum.reality checks requested. am i making sense?"ever'thin they is but loving leaves a rust on your...

I’ve given some thought about you asking “ is everything going to be ok?” I guess what I want to say is that is anything ever really ok? Is everything free from problems arising that we didn’t anticipate? The answer is no. Shit happens no matter where we are or what we do. We know that. There are always going to be hurdles we have to jump, bridges to cross, etc., etc., etc. Maybe you would be better off asking yourself if you can learn to cope with the hurdles and bridges. It’s those obstacles and how we deal with them that teaches us we are ok, no matter what. Maybe trying not to second guess your decisions would be a good place to start. Nothing in my experience has ever went according to plans carefully made. To expect perfection is unrealistic, we are only human after all. What’s that old saying about the best laid plans? All we can ever do is our best, sometimes it’s enough, sometimes it’s not. But we still find a way to go forward. Changing our perspective can go a long way in helping deal with the ups and downs of life. Meeting challenges or obstacles with that different perspective helps build our faith, our courage and our confidence.
When we sold our house a couple of years ago, it became easier to make decisions about what to take and what to get rid of the closer we got to moving day because I didn’t have the time or energy to think about it too much by that time. That and we had to put our stuff in storage for three weeks based on the timing of when we could move into our new place. So the less we kept, the less we had to move twice, once to storage and then to our new place. I have no regrets about purging a lot of our stuff. It is kind of freeing.
