Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
Sorry to hear you got them both. I have heard that anxiety is worse to have than depression. I have anxiety. I guess I got the worse one. Lol. I think with depression you just feel down. Like gloom. Like a fog hanging over your head. You definitely need some kind of help when your dealing with a mental illness. I hate that word. Lol. Anxiety is pretty bad. You get panic attacks and the physical symptoms you get are very scary. I think depression wouldn't be nice to have either. You tend to sleep a lot. And have no motivation to really do anything. Your kinda of in a funk. Sorry about my choice of words. But I know you. And I know your down for anything I say. Lol.. Just trying to keep it real. Thank you for your comment. Italianmomma4ever
Both are really terrible to have. I have anxiety and I have heard and read that's worse to have then depression. I guess I got kinda of stuck with the worser one. I would not choose either one if I could. When anxiety does reach its peak, for me everything just blows up. My mood and I say crazy things and think crazy thoughts. Then you feel your depression kicks in.
It feels like your down. Like you feel lonely and isolated. And can't get out of the funk that you feel. I get it. Not a good feeling. Being anxious though isn't fun either. It's like you can't stay still or concentrate or you get panicky and all these weird symptoms. I think anxiety you will come out of it easier. Depression seems to linger. I'm starting to understand more and more about depression. Thanks to you and everyone that has it. I appreciate your comment. Italianmomma4ever
It's nice to meet you. Yes the depression seems like it hangs over your head like a deep dark fog and lingers. But the fear of the anxiety to me would be worse. Anxiety has gotten me so bad that I'm in tears. Sorry you suffer with it so bad. I'm doing good. And you too enjoy your night. It was nice talking with you. And I'm glad the depression is something that is easier for you to handle. Because anxiety I know is hard to deal with. It will bring you to your knees. Enjoy your night. And you take good care of yourself. Italianmomma4ever
Welcome to the DS. You will meet some wonderful people here that give great advice and you can ask them about anything your feeling. So keep asking. And I hope we all can help. Italianmomma4ever
But I agree with the consensus that severe anxiety can lead to depression. I get bouts of depression some times because of my anxiety, so i understand.
Nice to meet you. Sorry to hear you suffer from both. And PTSD too. So your depression is the worst out of the three. I can understand that. How do you manage not to take any medication? That's gotta be hard to do. But do to your liver. It's for health reasons you don't take any medication. And having to take care of an elderly mother on top of everything your going through. I don't know how you do it. And for your mom to not understand is not right. She should be more supportive and understand. But people don't. They just don't get how your feeling and what your going through. Only you do because you have to deal with it. Sometimes you need some time alone to relax and have some quiet time. Thank you for your comment. You take good care. And do take time for yourself. Italianmomma4ever
I also never experienced it. But I could see someone being so depressed that they could act out. The loneliness and the isolation you feel. I too agree with anxiety and depression. I think they go hand and hand. I was diagnosed with anxiety, but the anxiety can get me down. Thanks for your comment. Italianmomma4ever

It's nice to meet you. Yes that is true. It does depend on each individual. Everyone experiences depression diffently. Depression does make you sleep a lot. Which in the long run isn't really good to do. It makes you feel lonely and you feel isolated. Caring about yourself is important. Doing self care and taking care of you is something that you should do every day. So sorry that you cry for such a long period of time. That doesn't make you happy or feel good. I would write things out and have a plan. Everyday I would try to do something that I look forward to and go for it. Maybe a hobby or go for a walk. Go out with a friend. Try to enjoy everyday. Anxiety is no fun either. I have that. The thinking is brought on by the anxiety. And remember there just thoughts. Nothing is gonna happen. I have learned that. I use to think something was wrong or something bad was gonna happen. But in the last six years I have had anxiety nothing has. I do cry to. Its scary the physical symptoms of anxiety. It makes you feel like your going crazy. I hate it!!!! Sorry to here that it lasts so long. Do you see a therapist or take any meds?
Also I like to do yoga and meditate. It really helps calm your mind and keeps you focused. I hope you find your balance so you can start to feel better. It's not a good way to live. And you shouldn't have to. Sorry this comment is so long. I just want you to feel good. And I do hope you find some relief. Take care and good luck.. Italianmomma4ever
