Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
So I have been on here for about a week and no I don't journal but feel writing on here a bit will gete started. I had underlying anxiety today. But dint really Google much to stop reading about all the symptoms and trying to self diagnose or get relief from reading which it has not helped other than to reinforce I have anxiety and depression. I had a ok day focusing on work and trying not to let my thoughts get the best of me. Even though they were there had good conversation with my boyfriend and he sent me roses to work which I thought would trigger my relationship anxiety but it didn't I really enjoyed them and appreciated him thinking of it. So when I get home my anxiety started up again just uneasiness in my body and thoughts trying to over take. I am trying whe the hell does this have to happen I get so mad that I can't stay on the manageable or normal state of mind. When my shoulders blades get tense and tingly I know what's going to start. Then with the depression I don't want to do anything I get to my house and just want to be lazy and lay down but I have to force myself to do things. I'm feeling sad mad indifferent and just want ti isolate. I am going to my boyfriend house this weekend and hope I can keep up. Some of you know we have bee together for about a month and 3 weeks and I don't want to be a bummer this weekend he trying to understand anxiety and depression in a clinical sense but it is hard for him because he has never had it. He is supportive which just makes me feel guilty. I do care for him alot but don't want to loose him because of my anxiety. I know I need to take time to work on myself but it's hard trying to balance everything .

I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying. I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there. I think that I will start writing in it again. It's so therapeutic.

Years ago, I won a mirrored armoire from my job. It's in my bedroom but I rarely stand in front of it. Yesterday, I had to have a dexascan done so I had to change into a gown. There was a full length mirror in the changing room. I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like. It was a reality check.
I go for progress over perfection on the frustrations of managing my anxiety. It keeps the harder moments from diminishing the successes. The fact that I slide back into my stinking thinking after I get home shouldn't detract from the fact that I made progress while I was out.
Maybe you can remember we are here to listen this weekend when you are worried about backsliding on the BF? Therapy breaks help me allot when I get anxious.
Best gift you can give yourself!
This I have to ask, are you in counseling or therapy? I know that has really helped me in my communication with my husband and about my anxieties. It is great to the someone that is an objective bystander to help with how to communicate with our significant others about our feelings, thoughts, and anxieties.
