Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
The best way to help your well-being, calm, and clear=head to be in normal range is to practice the breathing exercises that work best for you to help you find calm when the mind races and bounces and bumps. Also doing gentle exercises to distract your body back into calm range naturally fast helps.
Here's to writing it out which is a huge step in building the calm and clear head path of balance. Way to go!
treating my anxiety like a separate entity helps me mightily in my anxiety management. under the influence of anxiety, i am more handicapped than i am under the influence of alcohol or other mind-altering drugs. take a sneak at the chemical makeup of anxiety hormones the theory becomes even easier to support. all my incessant questioning, etc., are just symptoms of intoxication. i can count on having the wisdom of a falling down drunk until those all-natural chemicals have been purged from my system.
when i fight ^it^, nature amps up the hormone dosages to help me fight more viciously. when i relax and let nature be the boss, ^it^ passes far more efficiently and i don't even have to leave my humble path to accommodate the passage.
It doesn't have to be an extreme way (which is my own misconception).
After I posted this, I just felt avoidant of everything - but then I decided to follow through with chores, laundry, trash, feed the cat... and it seemed to help a great deal! Gave me a sense that I was kind of making my 'own thing' over here.
Does that make sense? Having something to create - like the things that make up my own life has really given me a great affirmation.
That affirmation gets me going on my path again! :)
the value i find in a well-established routine is that it allows me to keep moving in healthy directions, regardless of what that wonky organ between my ears is up to this minute.
Here with you, yea my anxiety has been pretty high (more so than usual) lately too.
I wish I had better words for you but I’ve been struggling with the dissociation a bit
