Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
After losing my mom 2 years ago which was a struggle and still is at times. I often fear of how will I handle it when my dad goes or my nana.
I get social anxiety like if we met I'd leave you with the impression I was a snob because I'm wicked shy and nervous at 1st when I meet people it takes me time before I open up.but once I know you and you know me you see in known as a sweet girl with a smile.
My mind is a trickster. I can get my 'regular anxiety' thoughts under control sometimes and then something physical will happen and I'll obsess over that. Then other times I'll get my hypochondriasis thoughts under control, so my mind says 'well here's something scarier to think of since you're doing ok.'
Anyways, it's a struggle every day. Not every day is a mountain to climb, sometimes it's just a little hill, other days it's just a puddle to hop over...but it's always there.
As some of the risks I took what were not so good is what I learned what doesn't work and learned not to make that same mistake again.
Love your user name. Your anxiety is totally understandable. Fear of something might go wrong and your not there to help if it does. I get it. Your just being very protective. And that's a good thing. Sorry about your mom. Death is very hard for me too. That's how I started 6 years ago getting my anxiety, because I was going through so many deaths. My dogs and a cousin, a aunt, my dad, and a real good friend. It just got to be to overwhelming for me. I'm sure if I ever met you that we would get along. I'm a very sweet and honest and love to laugh and have fun kind of person. And you sound like a sweet girl just by your user name. You take good care of your family. It was really nice to chat with you. Italianmomma4ever
Far too often, I react first, and think afterwards. This has created chaos and unintended consequences that take time, effort, and determination to work out successfully.
The fear factor is there, however, for me, it's not the first thing I think of now. Rather, I'm working out the options quickly and to be calm in the moment.
I do know the fear of the fear itself and have had panic situations due to this. I use images to put options up to help me make "in the moment" decision.
The thinking can get to you after awhile. Over and over. It gets annoying. The scary ones are the worst ones. But remember there just thoughts. And they too shall pass. Stay focused on the present. Anxiety is manageable but not cureable. The thoughts are always there. Just try to not make them important or give them any power. Baby steps. Italianmomma4ever
Absolutely it's a natural fear to take risks. Because you never know what's gonna happen. It can turn out good or go the other way. You live and learn and trust me if it doesn't work out well you won't do it again. We all take risks and some for the better. But the ones that are not good you know not to do again. It's a learning process. You take good care. Italianmomma4ever
That's a great thing to do. Something I'm learning too before I say anything. Stop, pause, and breath are excellent ways to calm your mind. Trust me I have said stuff that I probably shouldn't of said. I guess you can say I should of thought about it before I said it. Staying calm is what I'm working on and I think I'm getting better at it. I just try and stay focused on the moment and not think about any negative thoughts that might pop in my mind. Fear is something that can make you anxious and make your anxiety go through the roof. I'm glad you have options that help. I just try to breath and think positive. Thank you so much for your excellent comment. Have a great weekend. Italianmomma4ever
Just wanted to add even though I sometimes feel fearful of trying things or doing things, I do them anyhow. And most of the time it's very rewarding and it comes out to be a positive experience. So I feel good about that. I think it's mind over matter. You just have to take a chance. And see what happens. The mind can play tricks on you. But you have to learn to block them out. Well take care. And enjoy your weekend. Italianmomma4ever
Distraction is the best thing to do when your having all of these thoughts. Remember there just thoughts that your mind has put there. It's your anxiety filling your brain with these thoughts. Nothing bad is gonna happen. I think like that sometimes too. That somethings wrong with me or something bads gonna happen to me. And nothing has yet. I hate it. And I hate anxiety. But I have learned to live with it the best I can. And I feel like it's getting better. I pray a lot. And that helps quiet my mind and soul. Have a great weekend. Italianmomma4ever
Your very welcome. Definitely distract yourself and your mind from thinking about all the thoughts you have. Stop, pause and breathe. Sorry to hear you had alittle panic attack. But your still alive and breathing. Life goes on. It's just getting through it. But you did it and you can do it. You got this. Italianmomma4ever ❤️
