Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...

Hello,
I am a 58 year old female, who also has a history of a migraines and anxiety for 30 yrs. I post here at times. The migraines strike about every 10 weeks, but there has been no change with my migraines. I am on no medications.
I come to this group to inquire about a symptom that I have experienced on and off throughout the years, which affects my eyes, however the past few weeks the symptoms have been more frequent. I have had negative EEGs in the past, and had a series of blood tests just a few months ago ok, but for low vitamin D.
The symptom is that I am extremely light/glare sensitive, per say, mainly to TV, Computer and phone screens. Also, sometimes just when I move my eyes quickly, read or when driving it happens. The best way I can describe the sensation I get in my eyes, is if you were to suddenly look through eye glasses that were too strong. The sensation is very brief, just lasts a seconds and I have to quickly look away, then I am ok. Lately it happens frequently throughout the day. Also, I sort of jump from with in when it happens, almost like when you are suddenly startled. I have no pain or other symptoms coinciding with the sensitivity. It does appear to happen when I am considerably overtired or under stress
I have been under great good/bad stress. New full time job, my husband had retina disorder and has been off work for a month, not able to do anything! My daughter just had a baby, (girl) happy news, so I have been helping with her two other children my 2 and 4 year old grandsons. They have been staying all night at our house. Yikes they tire my husband and I out. Then, the drive is 50 miles and forth to my daughters house, so lots of driving, and I am needless to say, exhausted!
Could this be anxiety related or seizure related, any input or advice is welcome. Some drs have said, possibly odd seizure, but clear EEGs, some say anxiety...so frustrating. It does go away, should I be worried?
Thanks Pattylyn

I did the dumbest thing today. I charged my earbuds, unplugged the block and put the block in my little bag instead of the earbuds. I wasn't happy about that when I got to the gym. What a dummy!

Anxiety histamine levels can create a "pressure bomb" sensation ... normal and easy to resolve with breathing exercises to release the histamine naturally.
Relax, and refresh yourself before moving your eyes. The moment you rush, you will spend more time to relax, so breath, and if it is still strong, breathe again.
When you have all the physical and emotional events happening, and you're on "full mother alert", it does not turn off as easily as everyone thinks.
Best wishes.
I saw my eye dr. she claims exam ok, but did not dilate my eye, due to it can cause a migraine and I do get migraine.
She did do an field of view exam, which was ok. Of course that day I had not symptoms my eyes were not brothering me one bit, even with her flashing lights in my yes, and doing all the eye testing, go figure right?
My family dr. stated he wants me to see a neruo eye dr. to make sure it is not optic neuritis, however I looked up those symptoms which are eye pain in one eye, blurred vision, loss of color site, and I have none of those symptoms. So I am frustrated.
I suppose going to the specialist won't hurt, he can't see me to sept anyway, and now the eye symptoms seems to have gone away again anyway...
It does appear to come on when I am tired, it does go away, so who knows...
