Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
I came to an area I am thinking about moving too. I used to live in this area many years ago and I loved it. However, I shared this area with an Ex, and it was a relationship that didn't end well and Traumatic to me I guess.
I'm thrilled to be out here! The weather makes me happy, the landscaping, everything! However. I keep getting a pit in my stomach out here. I find myself reminded alot with my ex, this time around. I also get, maybe some of this is anxiety. I'm trying to just embrace, amd not fight. So I struggle there. Last time I was out here, I didn't have a pit in my stomach. I have really been trying to heal from that relationship past several months because I need too. I guess I don't like I associate this area with him. How do I fix this? It's driving me a little nuts. I just want to enjoy my dream area.

Years ago, I won a mirrored armoire from my job. It's in my bedroom but I rarely stand in front of it. Yesterday, I had to have a dexascan done so I had to change into a gown. There was a full length mirror in the changing room. I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like. It was a reality check.

You be starting off with a new life.
But, I have some questions, to help sort this through....
Does this ex still live in this city?
If not, would he have reason to come back often to this city, such as his family, friends, live there?
Is this the same ex you saw back a few months ago, I think February? The 15 year relationship guy? Or is this someone else?
I know you had repair issues with your current house and that you really want out of there. I think you said you work remotely, so you can live anywhere?
Ideally, your home should be a place that is calm, stress-free, relaxing... your sanctuary. Not looking over your shoulder at a possible ex showing up, or running into his family or friends in town, etc. That may cause you some stress.
Need some more info, if you don't mind. I have been through a similar thing with moving to an area that me and my ex used to live in. (Details would be helpful. Feel free to write me privately if you don't want to post the history of the relationship on here)
From what has already been mentioned, you have to decide and writing someone who has understanding will really give you the 'inside anxiety' view.
