I am very confused and just noticed something on my bottle of pills.I would reach out to the pharmacy but they are closed and I don't want to look like an idiot for asking a dumb question.
I've just started seeing my psychiatrist once a year, I've been seeing my DR for almost two years but we were in the process of getting my meds straightened out and now I can just do the yearly check-uo.
He prescribed me a year worth of my anxiety medication and a year worth of my anti-depressants.The anti-depressants were called in and I was given a paper script for my anxiety medication. My anti-depressants were $40/month and my anxiety medication about $20 so I did research and now I fill them at different pharmacies.
My birth control has been screwed up twice at the normal two pharmacies I used so I've been filling it at Walgreens. The other pharmacies have switched my pill brand back and forth and gave me something different each month, my body is sooo sensitive to medication that I have to stay on one brand, after months of dealing with these two pharmacies I switched my birth control to Walgreens which has been great..
I go to pick up my anxiety medication today and I have my normal 5 refills to get me through the year until next fall but the catch is my prescription expires in March so I have three months to fill my prescription and then nothing? I will still have refills left at that point.
Is this a pharmacy thing? Or a controlled substance thing?
Also I took my birth control script in and it says there is only 5 refills when it was written out for 10 refills.
My psychiatrist is a $75 office visit and is booked for the next six months so I don't know if I should make an appointment or what..

You could ask the pharmacy or call your psychiatrist to
get it straightened out. You dont actually have to see the doc if they
know youre taking it and want you to continue. They can call the pharmacy if you dont get results yourself.
