Hi all
I suffer from anxiety. I grew up in an abusive household. I have been with my husband for 10 years. For the first 4 years her physically abused me but for the last 6 years he has been nothing but a gem. However tonight in an argument he went a bit crazy and smashed up the laptop and almost smashed it on my head. It has just brought all those negative feelings and anxieties back in a flash. Suddenly I am re living my past at home and my past with him and the anxiety is just nauseating. I just want to be told I am not crazy for feeling like this and for rocking to an fro on the couch for 2 hours. My heart is broken for our children. Thank God they didn't witness it.

If you had never had the history of abuse behind you, you would be handling this differently. How would you be handling it? That's the question. If this had been his first blowup, would it have upset you?
I have often wanted to smash the television. I must say. Maybe it's as simple as that?
