I am so sick of this anxiety I'm experiencing right now. I stay stressed to the point that I don't enjoy any of my hobbies. Today I'm having what I call one of my "dark" days. I feel like even though the sun is shining and everyone else is enjoying life my world just seems dark and gloomy. I don't want to be this way anymore. No one understands it either. I am so riddled with anxiety that I could lose my job due to downsizing. And the weird thing is other people seem to like to play on it. My boss "who is a jerk) called me the other day in the middle of my vacation week to say that he doesnt feel like our jobs are secure. I've been a mess since then. It's like I shut down when I get bad news and people like to see me miserable. I don't get it. Sorry for rambling but I really don't have hardly anyone to talk to.

I did the dumbest thing today. I charged my earbuds, unplugged the block and put the block in my little bag instead of the earbuds. I wasn't happy about that when I got to the gym. What a dummy!

Years ago, I won a mirrored armoire from my job. It's in my bedroom but I rarely stand in front of it. Yesterday, I had to have a dexascan done so I had to change into a gown. There was a full length mirror in the changing room. I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like. It was a reality check.
If he can psych you out and make you lose your job, you lose. So don't let him psych you out. No matter how you are feeling, grin happily as you walk into work, smile! Be joyous! Be full of beans!
Get into it!
Firstly: this fake cheer will rub off on you and you will become cheerful in real life;
Secondly: the satisfaction of watching him get angry will feed your bruised soul. :)
You can get nowhere by retreating. You get somewhere by fighting. Anxiety is a totally awful thing: but you CAN fake it, you CAN conceal it, and you can play to win even when you're in a really bad space.
Also: savings. Having money saved makes an enormous difference to how anxious I am about job security. :)
I went through a period of uncertainty with my job. There were rumors that my whole department was going to be outsourced to India. I was a wreck and experienced horrible anxiety. After a few weeks we found out that we were indeed all losing our jobs. This made me even more anxious. To top it off, we even had to train the people from India on how to do our jobs, because they didn't know how. Nothing like training someone to take your job from you. In your case, you simply don't know what's going to happen yet. I would advise you to do the opposite of what I did and stay calm and avoid worrying. It's hard, but you can do it. It will make the whole process so much easier. If you do lose your job, then deal with it in small increments. One foot in front of the other. Commit yourself first and foremost to finding a new job, then once you get one focus on learning how to perform it in your new environment. Just take things one step at a time. Things will ultimately work out and happiness can follow. Your anxiety should eventually decrease. Like bridgie said, do NOT let your current boss prey on your emotions and anxiety. I wish you good luck sir!
Smile. Be good to your self. Know you are working for you, the paycheck, and focus "in the moment". Fighting with positive methods will make it easier for you to stay in the work place and have less anxiety overall.
You can do this. You are not alone in this.
