Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
Whenever you spend too much time inside your head, things will become distorted. You could pick any word, and say it over and over and over again until eventually it sounds weird or foreign. Well this is what happens inside our head. We become sort of un-grounded and we feel "weird". So we start to worry about that and that and pick it apart and wonder "Why am I feeling this way", "This isn't right," "What is wrong with me?"......We just dwell on it in a really ridiculous way, and this produces more worry which produces more anxiety.
The best thing for us to do, is to use our power for good. lol We are very smart, and we do over think, so instead of wasting it on the garbage inside our head, we need to find a healthy, productive way of using it. One of the reasons I love learning is because it lets me use that over thinking part of my brain and lets me question things in a healthy way. So I am always on the internet learning new stuff and researching it until I know everything there is to know about it. I guess I am a big nerd, because I really love doing that. But again, that is just because I love to over think. If I am watching TV and I question something I see, I write it down and I go look it up and research it at a later time.
Oh my God, I really am a dork , arent I?
But I can't help it, that is what I find entertaining. It makes my brain happy. It lets me over think without it being toxic.
You just need to find some way to use your brain in a healthy way so you can get out of the funhouse! :)
I feel the same way as u! I have been in florida the past year figuring out some health stuff with not much going on. i was diagnosed in sept with dep/anxiety and havebeen taking meds since. I decided to move back to nyc where i come from and my salon is there i leave feb 28th. The closer i get to the date the more anxious i get though. I guess its pretty common any change can trigger anxiety in most! I know once i get back and get busy I will be better off. I m hoping
