Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...

Many believe that anxiety is from a chemical imbalance or that they were born with it. I believe that our fight or flight response doesn't just break one day, but that a trauma caused it to remain "turned on". The trauma coupled with negative thinking helps to create a life filled with fear and anxiety. This is not a normal state for anyone. There was a cause. Heal the cause and your anxiety will go away.
Take care
Pass but in most cases it comes back! I'm hoping you'll get the help you need! We all need that! The main thing to remember anxiety will no
NOT KILL YOU..I KNOW IN THE MOMENT you feel that way it's horrible
Good luck!
I also think it can go away completely. They found mine was mostly caused by a mutation in my MTHFR gene so they put me on a specific type of B12 and folate and I haven't had anxiety since I've been on it (about 2 months).
I still have the anxious thoughts that I'm working on but no anxiety. And while a catastrophic thought pops up now and again, it no longer sticks around for me to ruminate on.
Others on here have been anxiety free for years after finding their own solutions.
So it's not your fault that you have anxiety. I believe it is physical with implications in our emotional lives. And it does ebb and flow but, I think, you can move past it.
Once the underlying cause is found it can be addressed and then it's about cleaning up the remaining bits. I do prefer to work on the root cause rather than treat the symptoms.
I do think it can go away, but my doctor says that it is unlikely to go away with all my family background. I don't really know. I have hope that it will not be with me permanently, especially since it is so new to me. I had mild depression before, but anxiety is so different - at least to me. I would like to have more faith in the doctors who treat this, but really don't know about them right now.
I really hope that you can come across something that works for you. You are definitely not alone with the reoccurring symptoms. Glad you had a bit of a break from it though : )
My anxiety started to creep back in about a month ago when my girlfriend and I started having issues. When we broke up it roared to life.
Buspar has been a life saver for me. I took it twenty plus years ago and it totally turned my life around. Along with daily exercise and mediation, I hope it works this time.
Hang in there
If you are going through something in life that is causing high anxiety then I guess it can go away. I have suffered from it for most of my life.I am 50. My anxiety does not seem to be caused by one pacific thing. I have my bad days and my days that are better.Just like a dimmer switch. Physical activity does seem to help my anxiety.I am not all ways up for physical activity. All I can do is try not to let it rule my life completely.
