Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
In September I moved to a small town and currently go to school, but I am extremely shy and quite so it has been really hard to make friends. I moved in 2016 for the first time and I was on a collegiate soccer team, so it was easy to make friends. But ever since I came to this new school I have been very alone and don't really get out much. I have noticed that my anxiety has became a serious issue. I always have this ball in my stomach and it becomes difficult to sleep. I only sleep for a couple of hours before I wake up with the ball in my stomach again. I also get like a tingling sensation in my arms and sometimes it feels like I can't breath. This has been happening since January now and have been thinking about going to therapy, but with school and work I feel like I don't really have the time for it. I also recently started having nightmares which also make it hard for me to sleep. I don't really know how to help myself because this feeling of panic and anxiety have started to overwhelm me, so I figured that maybe getting a little bit of my story out would help. Thank you for all the advice.

I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying. I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there. I think that I will start writing in it again. It's so therapeutic.

Keep up the great work on yourselves; I'm rooting for all of you!So, I started doing therapy at the beginning of the year, when I was in my most depressed state, but with my therapist, I made big changes and steps in the right direction. But, over a month ago, she couldn't take my insurance anymore, and I had to stop...
"Shy" is nowhere to be found in my personal psychobaggage car. Not even I am crazy enough to have ALL the available psych problems. I'm a wanderer, to boot, so I have lots of experience in living different places, but even *I* need quite allot of time to establish a new social network in a new area. Enough time that the process do get lonesome, even for someone like me who enjoys being alone. I can't describe the diff, but being alone and being lonely are very different experiences.
Hope I didn't get too babbley on you. Mostly wanted to welcome you aboard.
