Just my two pfennigs.
I think if we can begin addressing the anxiety with healthy coping mechanisms, it will automatically help us combat these addictions.
Recently, for some time, I was very determined and doing quite well as far as trying also to cut back in portions as well as getting in more veggies and turning toward healthier snacks (maybe grab a light yogurt or a piece of fruit... or a few nuts or hard boiled egg if you are starving til next meal) Was even getting back on track with the exercise...

I like steamed broccoli though. We put a little water in the pot, put the broccoli in....and a little olive oil. Then when soft, just plate it and salt it a bit.
Lol I do love cashews too. Pecans, walnuts, and peanuts I think are all higher in fat also. If I get them, I just have a few roasted unsalted peanuts or I put the walnuts in the food processor and just add a smidge to yogurt or sprinkle on a salad. Sunflower seeds and almonds aren't so bad for you I don't think. I read somewhere that is good to have small amt of nuts in our diet as it helps to boost our metabolism (Lord knows mine needs a boost since they zapped my thyroid.)
Did you try stir frys? You can fill up with more veggies and less meat. (but if you like your veggies well done, not as good... or good for you as if they had just a bit of crispness to them. )
