Reminding myself of this fact actually helps me to calm my anxiety a bit at times. Take deep breaths. Remind yourself of a few good things that have happened/ that you are thankful for TODAY, no matter how small (the sun is out, someone smiled at me on the street, i found a penny, everything i need to get done today is being taken care of etc....). It's the GOOD little things that we need to pay attention to when anxiety strikes.
We were unfortunately chosen to carry the burden of excess emotional strain. We can either let it consume us and cripple us, or we can do our best to accept the challenge in front of us, know that there will be bad days, and be mindful of the present moment to help prevent us from becoming overwhelmed by our past and future.
Just know you are not alone in this. There are many others dealing with the exact same thing...myself included. (((((HUGS))))
I went to the seniors class today at the YMCA and did Chair Yoga. I had so much fun and sweat was just pouring down. That Chair Yoga is not as easy as it looks.
Oh and so many sweet women with names like Stella and Betty welcomed me to the class.
Find something that you enjoy whether it playing the guitar or doing yoga. It does help!
