Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...

Second time posting this. I wrote everything down and it disappeared. Anyway. Iove my job and I work at a nice place and management likes me and I get good assessments every quarter. There is a woman, however, who is hyper aware of what I do, how do it and how fast I do it. I've been there two years and since about six months in she has complained about me to management and discussed my apparent incompetencies with other colleagues. She has been spoken to by management about her behavior but it did not change. I have taken her on myself, also no change. She won't ever be any different. My problem is that it is causing me a lot of anxiety at work. I don't care about this woman or what she thinks. I don't care that she talks about me to someone else while she knows I am within earshot. But knowing that what I do is going to be analysed every day makes me not want to go to work. I don't know how to deal with the anxiety. Anybody have similar issues? How did you cope with it?

I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying. I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there. I think that I will start writing in it again. It's so therapeutic.

First, I hope everyone is doing well, and continuing to fight that good fight! Keep up the great work on yourselves; I'm rooting for all of you!So, I started doing therapy at the beginning of the year, when I was in my most depressed state, but with my therapist, I made big changes and steps in the right direction. But, over a month ago, she couldn't take my insurance anymore, and I had to stop...
i get more creative when the repetitious rants are coming from someone i actually want in my life. example: when the love of my life starts his hubby-knows-best rants, i visualize him in various prison guard uniforms. girl howdy, that man has the legs to rock a centurion uniform. when he's being especially stuffy, i give him one of the old euro uniforms with silly feathers on his head. the possibilities are endless. humanity has quite an array of warrior costumes. bad warriors get prison guard duty, but they still wear the uniforms.
Some of my coworkers can be real pieces of work. But I just try to detach a bit from my feelings and basically act like their existence doesn’t impact me one way or another. Or I kill them with kindness, asking them if they are ok when I sense they are getting hostile. By asking if they are ok it turns their energy back on them. I think the less we show their actions get a reaction out of us, the more they take their BS down a few notches.
Do your work, do it well and most importantly don’t let the haters see you sweat. That’s what fuels them. Honestly, being more confident in your work, even if you need to fake your confidence at times, goes a long way with shutting people like this up.
