Hi all! I've been a member of DS for quite some time but took a break for awhile.
I'm back for some help. I'm currently pregnant (26w5d) with baby #2. For the last 2 months, I've been have twitching in my right hand. It is driving me crazy. Stupid me used Dr Google and the first thing it mentioned is ALS. Ever since then, I can't stop thinking about it. What if it is ALS? It is a fatal, awful disease.
I've been to a neurologist and she has me scheduled for an EEG on Monday to check for focal seizures and to go from there. An EMG would be better to test for ALS but I'll bring that up once this test is complete.
Please tell me I'm just insane and to get over it. I look at my almost 2 year old and freak out because Im so afraid of leaving him behind. This is no way to live.
Any helpful suggestions?
