Anxiety Support Group

General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...

i am wondering if one of the greatest healing gifts i have received from my peer support network on my long and winding recovery road might have been the exposure within a supportive environment to my polar oppisites. typically, these are the people i avoid fanatically in my daily life. the woman who reminds me of. . . the man who reminds me of. . . the know-it-all who makes me feel. . . early into my recovery, simply sharing a physical space with certain people catapaulted me into psychosis. moving in small steps from there has helped me learn tolerance and forgiveness. works still in progress with a growing doubt that those works ever end.

when i can accomplish enough tolerance and forgiveness to share thoughts and healing hopes with people i would not choose for my inner circle, i find strange and wonderous things i have not quite found words for.
thoughts? words for ^it^? am i making sense?

I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying. I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there. I think that I will start writing in it again. It's so therapeutic.

Years ago, I won a mirrored armoire from my job. It's in my bedroom but I rarely stand in front of it. Yesterday, I had to have a dexascan done so I had to change into a gown. There was a full length mirror in the changing room. I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like. It was a reality check.
You know, there are people now that are in my greater friendship circle who are ramping up in the political stuff or have the beginning of dementia and no longer have a filter so say some stupid or mean stuff. As in making a personal attack on someone who believes differently than them. Big problem in my book club. I am considered how best to tell them to be quiet.
I no longer want to give my peace of mind away but I am tired of the general intolerance in our country. I don't want to be intolerant either but sometimes we have to have limits and internal boundaries for what we consider acceptable behavior or treatment of ourselves. It is a balancing act it seems to me.
the election choices this year look downright pathetic. a serious lesson in picking poisons?
