Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
I turned 66 on the 20th of December. A year ago I was in a personal care home, where I had been for 3 years. Before that I was in my own apartment for 10 years. Then in June 2017 my husband died, and that's when I moved to the personal care home. I didn't really like it, but I'll give them credit, they made a big deal out of the holidays, giving each of us $100 to pick out what we wanted for Christmas, and then getting us those items, gift wrapped. In March 2021, that personal care home closed, and I went to another personal care home. I absolutely hated it there, and was evicted. I spent 2 months living in a motel, the county's solution for keeping homeless people over 60 years old. In October, I got an apartment in public housing. Unfortunately when I lost my other apartment in 2017, I lost all my possessions, my furniture, my car, all my kitchen stuff. About the only thing I kept was my clothing. So now I have to replace everything, or try to. I had a job before, but now I'm on Social Security, and can't afford the nice stuff that I had. The worst thing is that they require me to provide my own washer and dryer, and there's no local agency help for that. I wound up getting one from a rent to own place for $69 a month for 2 years. They came and installed it, and told me I had to get my own dryer vent. I know nothing about dryer vents and told them that. I finally ordered one from Amazon and it won't come until after Christmas. They told me I can use the dryer without one temporarily. This is the first Christmas I ever spent alone. I have no family any more. I miss at least having somebody to talk to. I'm anxious about being alone. I also lost the use of my cell phone and can't contact my therapist. I miss my cats I used to have. They all lived to be at least 12 years old. I'm allowed to have a cat here but it will cost me $300 deposit which I can't afford. I used to enjoy shopping for gifts for people. Now I have no one to shop for. Is there anyone else who has been in this kind of situation?

I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying. I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there. I think that I will start writing in it again. It's so therapeutic.

Years ago, I won a mirrored armoire from my job. It's in my bedroom but I rarely stand in front of it. Yesterday, I had to have a dexascan done so I had to change into a gown. There was a full length mirror in the changing room. I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like. It was a reality check.
everything, the good and the not so good.

if the wall is intact and bare, you need the vent, itself.

don't be afraid to admit your ignorance. i have found pretty consistently that the clerks typically love putting on their little supercapes to educate me. i typically snap pictures of my projects with my cell phone to enhance the conversation. a picture really is worth a thousand words.
