Those are the best suggestions I have. It also seemed to help me to remind myself to laugh at my nutty thoughts. I just watched, "Hannah and Her Sisters" and just lol at the neurotic characters and how I think like that sometimes too. Being a human can be pretty weird sometimes.
This life is a long ride.
Sometimes I feel alone.
Sometimes I feel that people are too self-centered to really try to understand me, like me, and have a relationship of investment with me which does require time; a rare commodity these days.
Sigh, what I would think is that it is important to believe that people DO like you. It's like which came first, the chicken or the egg?
Are you bad because you are nor perceived to be liked?
Or are they bad because they do not perceive to like you?
A lot of it is pure communication. Ask yourself: is both what I am conveying visually and verbally being communicated in a positive way?? Vice Versa. If someone says or does something offensive, it is OK to say, "That is unacceptable." "I would prefer you say or do etc. or not say or do etc. Thank you for understanding" Back to time. Some people are simply too busy to give time, and it has nothing to do with you, or your worth as an individual uniquely created by and valued by God.
