Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
Enjoy the process and know that you are special and unique! There is noone exactly like you.
When your anxiey takes a back seat and you are enjoying life around you, you will see that person again. It is a balancing act and right now your scales are heavier on the anxiety side.
Find time to do the things you enjoy and really focus on those things and nothing else. Stay in the now- not your past or your future. I meditate often and have a mantra that helps me-
"Right now, in this moment, all is well"
I hope it helps you too. Take care!
I look at my anxiety disorder as the greatest blessing in my life. Except for my kids, that is. I thank God for it because without it, I would still be that person I used to be. I am strong now and I owe it all to anxiety. I would never have changed my attitudes on my own. I had no motivation to do it. I wasn't aware anything was wrong with me. I had no clue who I even was. But looking back, I now can see who I was...and good riddance to that girl.
I can't speak for you, but if you look a bit closer at how you used to be, its possible you might see that things weren't as great as you remember.
Now that probably seems a bit depressing, and I guess it is, but the good news is that you are never too old to change. You are at a middle ground now. You are stuck between the old you and the new you. But if you follow your plan and focus on making positive changes, the new you will slowly emerge.
I can so relate. It's very scary. First you aren't alone. I so feel this way. I i will share what I've done so far.... hope it helps.
I make sure I pay attention to any triggers or signs of anxiety. I'm not overly nervous of it just aware. I breath or take meds if I need to. I also know my limits. Going to be 40 I sure am not the young girl I was before that could take on the world. So now all I can do is my best. I accept who I am and make sure that I put myself first.
I stay in the moment also. No worries about yesterday or tomorrow. Just today. And if you are ok today... they you are ahead of the game. Hope you are well.

One thing I'd like to suggest if you don't mind...is that you write down every thing you do already that is a positive....nothing is too small, you may be surprised to actually see "you" haven't died. You're no longer a little girl, that's true, but that little girl also had a lot of spunk and courage.
Those are still within you, just a matter of learning to find your inner strength.
If you do write things down, you have to be 100% honest with yourself, don't dismiss anything as "not really"...no negatives allowed on that list.
A journey of a thousand miles begins with putting your feet on the path....and it does sound to me like you've already done that much.
Thank you for sharing....I do understand what you are saying and hope today is a better one for you!!!
Sounds like you are sick of having anxiety and that is good. It will probably make you reach out and start really doing something about it.
You did not deserve to have anxiety, but it was probably in the cards and dealt to you at birth. You can achieve great things in spite of it.
it was said that Donna Summer suffered from anxiety and panic attacks. We need to go and shake our groove thing or whatever the correct saying is.
If anyone want to talk about their anexity always write me !! I find it helps to talk!!
