Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...

Having said that, I have no experience with depression at all. I don't know if you REALLY want to die, or if you are just saying "Oh I want to die.", in a non serious way. I don't know how serious your depression is. If you have clinical depression, then me giving you a pep talk and telling you to pull it together and be strong is probably not going to help you.
Look inside yourself and ask yourself these questions: Do you think you are capable of being any stronger than you are right now? Is this the very best you can do with your life? Do you truly feel so weak and out of control of your feelings that you want to take your life to ease the pain?
Either way, I think you should stick with professional help, but if you haven't tried REALLY changing your attitude to see if that helps, then try it. If you haven't tried relaxation methods or meditation or any of the other positive lifestyle changes that you can try, then try them. Anxiety and depression don't get better without some change of your thinking patterns. They just don't and they won't and they never will.
But if you HAVE tried these things and nothing seems to be helping and you feel hopeless and lost, then you need to DEMAND help from your parents. Find new doctors, talk to your school counselors or teachers. Keep talking until somebody takes you seriously. You are valuable and your life is valuable and you need to treat yourself like the valuable person that you are. You deserve a happy life so you do whatever you have to do to see that that happens.
If they don't get it, you must have a school counsellor you can go and see. All schools have them. You have to find someone you can talk to, because you can let this stuff out and it goes away. In other words, you can get relief from your unhappiness.
Do you know why you are so unhappy? Is it hating school, or is there something else?
@Sapphy you don't always have to know the answer in order to ask the question: you don't have to know what's wrong in order to know there is something wrong.
You will have to make a judgement call about whether mum or dad might be able to help or not, and maybe they are not going to help and you know it for a fact; but I think having them understand can help enormously if they are normal open minded type people. There's nothing worse than not feeling like the people who are supposed to love you and care how you feel, don't. And yet most mothers and I assume fathers too, would throw themselves under a bus to save your life without a second thought.
It's important to know that. I would rather die than have my child despair. And some of the things that happen to us as teenagers are huge, and scary. For me, I had to deal with ideas about incest and teen pregnancy. That was too overwhelming to tell anyone back then, but now I don't care. My daughter has told me she is pan sexual, and then managed to acknowledge she had a boyfriend which for her, being so private, was very exposing. She didn't tell her father: he's pretty darn insensitive and she can't bear the battering ram that would come back at her. I actually suspect that for all his ways he'd probably take it quite well. Us parents tend to expect this stuff now.
I don't know what your trouble is but I know it will be big to you, and a huge thing to surmount. That's the thing: Don't be ashamed of it. Even if it is a subtle misery, one that you 'should' be able to overcome - that doesn't mean you can. i think if they took the word 'should' out of the language and threw it away the world would be a much better place.
Life as a teenager has so much hard stuff in it even when you don't have creepy step-parents. Things build up inside you and you need the older people who care about you to show you how to escape them. No point us having learned if we aren't allowed to pass that on. We are here to be used.
Or you try and tell your parents but they're too busy to listen and that's even more humiliating so you just sort of crawl away and die.
I have been there and I wish I had gone to the school counsellor. Which might be where you find yourself. You know best about your family.
But whatever you do don't give up on yourself.
I felt very much like you when I was a teenager and it was really difficult.
I WISH I would have gotten tested for the MTHFR gene mutation decades ago. They found out that's why I had so much anxiety and depression. Once I started on the right vitamins I haven't had ANY anxiety attacks or depression.
I felt like I didn't fit in with anyone but what I realized later was that as an introvert, it was hard to find other introverts. We aren't out in the world that much! And when we are, we're not loud about it. So it is hard to connect. I found it best to join clubs and groups that interested me and that's where I found like-minded people.
Some schools are more in tune than others. You may want to talk with a school counselor to see if they have suggestions. They may also be able to accommodate you. My son had anxiety in school and was allowed to leave the classroom to meditate in a certain quiet area outside whenever he needed to do that. At first, he was going out for 20 minutes at a time several times a day but after some time, he was down to about 10 minutes a week. Just knowing you have the options available helps a lot.
There is also the option to do school online, but you have to be really disciplined and sometimes the isolation doesn't help. There may be other schools you can consider too.
Anxiety and depression can make you feel like no one can help, but there are a lot of answers and a lot of caring people out there. I know it's hard but keep reaching out.
And remember that we're here too!
