Today I go to my therapist, still have a doc visit a couple weeks out, and know I need meds to calm me, I can't stop my mind, I can't stop dragging negative to me, I am trying, I am trying to stay at work, and go to the gym, and not drink, everyday it has been building, sometimes you truly just want to curl up and be held, I want to go to the beach and just breathe and walk, and probably cry like a baby, that was my yesterday, I ride my tractor and cut and cry ridiculously, I have to have my mind calm soon, breathing exercises, gym, eating better, no alcohol, no I have to live through the effects of drinking and the anxiety peaking to let it wear off, I thought about asking for xanax again, or too try prozac as I never have that one, I take lithium, I just need my mind to calm as I can't live with it much more, is there a med that will numb me, make me happy and that I can still function coherently at work? I have no idea, but I almost feel I need hospitalized soon.
I cannot believe that my life has come to this, I want to be happy, I desire to love myself and be loved, and feel so very alone for the most part, truly pouring out.

Years ago, I won a mirrored armoire from my job. It's in my bedroom but I rarely stand in front of it. Yesterday, I had to have a dexascan done so I had to change into a gown. There was a full length mirror in the changing room. I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like. It was a reality check.

You can be happy. I found it when I discovered what had caused my anxiety and panic to start (childhood sexual abuse). It is my belief, and my therapists belief, that a traumatic event is what triggers the anxiety to start so don't be afraid to go back to your childhood looking for it. If you can figure out at what age your anxiety started...go to the years before it. Chances are you will find what caused the anxiety to start.
Take care
Therapy helps, however, as I have learned, it is up to me to make the changes in my normal daily living activities. For those moments I want to walk the beach, I put the scene in my head, my mind, and do it inside to help me reach the inner calm spot.
Finding the different causes helps you to find your way through the anxiety sensations.
I have found that "emotional" connected drinking has to be worked with from three angles of direction to find the peace of spirit we aim for. It's not just this, this is only a small part of the healing. In my case, I had to work through the changes and keep a journal to sort through the feelings, emotions, and separate the events to help me relax the anxiety associated with those moments.
Anxiety is natural, so help it to help you and you will be far more comfortable with making changes to help recover your sense of balance.
Best wishes. You are not alone with this.
