Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
I had my first anxiety attack in 3 months last night. I couldn't figure out what it was, meds, etc. Then, it hit me, that I felt this way when I had my first panic/anxiety attack 3 months ago. I was proud of myself last night and feeling good, then it hit me out of nowhere when I was trying to fall asleep.
I don't get why it happened like that... I was feeling so good and then I couldn't sleep until 5... Really sucked.
But, I know it came from all of the stress and different things that I was trying to deal with without worrying my girlfriend. So, I kept it in (stupid, I know) and I let it eat at me for days.
After she woke up, I talked to her and told her what I was holding and she was so awesome about it. I didn't want to bother her because she is dealing with the uncertainty of getting her Master's Degree in Therapy (ironic, I know) so I didn't want to pile on. But, she (once again) reassured me that she wants to hear my problems and help me the best way she can. I've always felt like I don't deserve help for some reason and I feel so awkward about asking for it or just opening up to her. Even though she wants me. She even noticed that my body language was off yesterday and I didn't, weird...
At least, I'm getting better at it. I also realize I could much worse off and be drinking and smoking as I used to...
I need to be more grateful, happy, and proud of myself... Don't know why I can go three months feeling one way and then wreck the feeling in like a week... Hopefully, 3 months from now I can report good news. One day at a time... Hate/love the getting back to normal after these attacks, my body might feel weird, but I'm getting my mind right and better.
Peace, safety, and love you guys!!!!

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.

I hope that you will feel comfortable opening up to your girlfriend the next time
Grounding techniques can help with extreme anxiety a great deal
The one that I always use is to describe everything in your favourite room in detail..... You have to describe it out loud so speak it
I usually describe my bedroom.... the colours, fabrics, comfort, art etc..... This brings you down pretty quickly so there's a physical brain component to this.... It works and it works pretty quick..... Big hug....xo
Still dealing with the after effects of it.
Hope I get some more sleep.
Thank you guys!!!
Use all the techniques and add as many more as you need to help you balance your thoughts back within normal range.
Best wishes!
My life feels much more manageable when I just let the mystery be and deal with whatever comes, as ^it^ comes. Neither more nor less. . .
Breathing. . .
But, for me it takes a few days to feel normal after an attack.
For me, I need to relax for a few days. Doing things that calms me or helps me to distract myself from myself.
It all depends on the particular individual.
I hope you are feeling better!!
Thank you everyone!!!
Wish you all the best and all of the patience you need!!!
