Years ago, I won a mirrored armoire from my job. It's in my bedroom but I rarely stand in front of it. Yesterday, I had to have a dexascan done so I had to change into a gown. There was a full length mirror in the changing room. I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like. It was a reality check.

"don't be a hate hole" has been one of my recent mantras which seems to be escaping my mouth more and more often. it emerges when i am faced with the endless list of chores i would rather not deal with. insurance. head lice. bureaucracy. in-laws. the list goes on and on and on and on, ad infinitum.reality checks requested. am i making sense?"ever'thin they is but loving leaves a rust on your...

I've been in a roll-over, I have been rear-ended, and I had to deal with the fear of these sensations happening again. So, I went in the water, practicing rolling over and over underwater til I was comfortable with the sensations and being fine. I practiced pushing off the wall and stopping at the wall, to help with the sudden stop, moving forward. What this did was help my brain picture the natural movement of both of these situations, and then I added the positives, words, thoughts, and pictures to help me calm the view.
Rather than think of accidents first, instead focus on what you're doing in the car. Are you going somewhere for fun, for business, for visit, or what? Put the positives in place to help you stay calm.
When it comes to grabbing the dash, I'm guilty of that, and I try to keep my hands in my lap with something, especially in the front passenger seat.
Often, doing the where we are going is enough to distract the usual pattern of thought to allow me to enjoy the drive, ride.
Best wishes. You are not alone in this.
Until I learned that it was actually very difficult to flip a car over. Some SUV's can roll over a little easier but thats why they have changed most of them into SUV crossovers that are closer to the ground.
I personally feel more comfortable driving a car instead of an SUV or truck. I feel I have more control, but this is personal preference.
Maybe if you do some research on what kind of car you want to buy maybe talk to someone that knows a lot about cars, see if that helps ease your worries some.
