I just feel like if I could have a day where NOBODY asked me to do anything outside of my comfort zone..then that might give me some time to think and pull myself together and get some skills going. I love my family so much..but I kid you not....EVERYTIME I turn around one of my teenage kids is wanting me to take them here or take them there..and when I say no....(because of my anxiety)...I feel like the biggest failure as a mom. I have always been there for them..they are 15 and 17..both have permits to drive but no license yet. My girl plays sports and I have pretty much always been to every game that she's ever had....EVER...this season.....I'm opting to miss a few of the away games to, like I said, gather myself, give myself a break from the constant anxiety....well....wouldn't you know it...and I don't fault her for this....but suddenly....SHE NEEDS ME THERE!!! Never seemed to care one way or the other before but now.....this one time that I need a break...she really really wants me there..so again....salt in the wound that is my anxiety and constant failure feelings. My son is on a fitness kick..and it's a good thing to want to be fit..but he is constantly asking me to take him to the gym that is not comfortable for me....and he acts like this place is going to miraculously turn him into a fit adonis. We have weights here and a perfectly good neighborhood circle that when walked or jogged around 2ce makes a mile..and we have a stationary bike...but NOOOOOO.....it has to be the gym. If I didn't have anxiety, none of these things would be bothering me...but I am hit with something new everyday. As I write this.....keep in mind...I have TERRIFIC kids....but I just need noone to ask anything of me other than meals...clean clothes..and a ride to school for a few days. Can anyone relate to this?

Years ago, I won a mirrored armoire from my job. It's in my bedroom but I rarely stand in front of it. Yesterday, I had to have a dexascan done so I had to change into a gown. There was a full length mirror in the changing room. I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like. It was a reality check.

"don't be a hate hole" has been one of my recent mantras which seems to be escaping my mouth more and more often. it emerges when i am faced with the endless list of chores i would rather not deal with. insurance. head lice. bureaucracy. in-laws. the list goes on and on and on and on, ad infinitum.reality checks requested. am i making sense?"ever'thin they is but loving leaves a rust on your...

I had to drive mine everywhere and learned a lot of things in those car drives that would never have been shared at home.
The break you get will be the pleasure you share with them.
Anxiety is with us for a lifetime, it's natural, and we can beat the worst of it through movement -the act of moving will help the overload of anxiety disappear naturally.
Keep hydrated.
Hope this helps.
They can ask their friends for a ride on the other days.
Are they aware of your anxiety? Maybe a talk with them about how you are working on things to make yourself feel better might hlep.
