Is anyone else here doing yoga or have tried yoga?
I did my first class tonight, a beginner's class. Interesting! During this past flare-up I've been finding walking & bending difficult, and laying on my back on a flat surface is excruciating.
I've been really focused on my inabilities and limitations recently so it was nice to be aware that some things are still working :P.

Two different hospitals sound rather complicated to me. But I reckon there is a deeper sense behind it? I sincerely hope all your trouble will lead to something positive!
I never have flus or things alike. I opted for the more interesting things long ago:)

Yes, I have a question: What "style" of yoga do you practice. I could imagine that there a more adapted "styles" to AS, than others. Well, during a flare-up I simply can't imagine practicing any kind of physical effort, of course.
And: Let's hope Liz is well!!!
The GOOD news is... I don't have AS! My specialist decided that although everything looks like AS, walks like AS, talks like AS... It isn't actually AS.
But that Gadolinium MRI.. Wow. They told me to have someone pick me up to drive me home, but they forgot to mention I should have a bedpan and a manservant for a couple of days too! It was actually injected into the head of my femur, inside the hip socket... Many times, because the doctor couldn't get it in just the right spot.
My sciatic nerve got really angry and somehow the swelling strained my hip even further. Of course, my injured shoulder was the same side as my hip, so that was... Fun :).
If this MRI doesn't turn up with any definite results, I'm going to... Going to... Well I dunno what I'm going to do. Probably start my own support group for - oh wait, there it is, Medical Mysteries!
