Hello stayfree I would keep your walker or cane for as long as you can. Once you start using a power chair you'll use the use of your legs faster than ever, your arms too. I work as a community care worker and I've seen it happen. If you must get a pchair use as little as possible. Do what you can for as long as you can because soon enough you won't be able to. I do wish you well.

You are so smart that is exactly what I was thinking and I only want a pwr chair for moments when I want to keep up with my sons 1st grade class at a class outing. Or my 3rd grader field trips, or soccer days or t- ball Saturdays. Thank you ,. I just am curious if there are other people out here, concerned about the same things, or dealing with the same feelings.

Hello again, I'm having a bad morning so I'm up early. I ment "loose" the use of your arms and legs of course. When my knees and hips are acting up I certainly wonder sometimes how I am going to get around. I have a few canes I use at times of need but I don't want to think about walkers yet and for sure no wheel chairs although that day may come but if I don't dwell on it it may never come about. I can see it would be important for you to take part in your childrens lives and for that reason a pchair would serve you well. Try to use as little as possible and keep using your walker or cane when you can. It takes very little time to completly loose the use of arms and legs plus folks get lazy and use the pchairs too much. Good for you for wanting to be in your kids lives so much even feeling the way you do. I was quite active when my son was growing up so I was able to play a big part in his life even while in pain and those were great days, how I would love to go back and do that again. Take care of yourself and your kids and maybe they'll take care of you one day, all the best.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
