Angina pectoris is chest pain due to ischemia (a lack of blood and hence oxygen supply) to the heart muscle, generally due to obstruction or spasm of the coronary arteries (the heart's blood vessels). Coronary artery disease, the main cause of angina, is due to atherosclerosis of the cardiac arteries.
Tell us about your personal experience with Metoprolol as a treatment: Has it worked? Have you had any issues? Any recommendations or tips?
Originally when I changed from other beta blockers to Metoprolol, I had the issues others posts are talking about, but found by taking it at bed time made a world of difference. As far as sex, whether I take the Metoprolol or not, my wife has no interest.
