Anger Management Support Group
Anger management commonly refers to therapeutic techniques by which someone with excessive or uncontrollable anger can control or reduce their emotions. Typical examples include the use of deep breathing and meditation as a means to relaxation. Psychologists recommend a balanced approach, which both controls the emotion and allows it to express itself in a healthy way.
psychiatrist, not just say you throw tantrums and rage at family members for no reason, but that you don't have empathy when you upset them, so he can treat the whole problem.
Hope you get the best, safe treatment and things are better, soon.
Good Luck
Ok, no disrespect replies 3 and 4 were genuine and clearly loving, I'm trying to only get your attention through humor before I hopefully help you, at MomNbipolarsons expense I admit, but only as an ice breaker. Saying that though, you've got to find genuine joy or release in the mean time to deal with your anger. Your so lucky, some of us carry anger deep into our middle aged years, this is actually a blessing in disguise.
The other responses were correct, so I'm going to focus on other things so you'll have lots of tools to cope with. It sounds silly and even selfish at times but love yourself like no other currently and you'll see life is greater than anger. Once you understand the reasons or burden of the anger, it will get old and your smarts will point you in new directions that allow you to tolerate others behavior. There is nothing "wrong" with you as an accusationist might say in their own anger, you're just going through what we adults call simple growing pains. Do this, for the next two weeks even though it may feel awkward at first, help those that irritate you like you've never before. Do little things like offer to do a chore or study hard for them. They should and more so probably will be amazed and evaluate their own anger. You could very well help your family grow lovingly single handedly in the next year if you just do one nice thing for them a day. Nothing to major, you don't have to act like your saving the world or are the messiah recarnate, all you have to do is love a little more so your anger will leave.
Some detailed things you can do is focus on your favorite sport and activities to energize your best thinking, also to cure anger. We all suffer from anger, some more some less, but give yourself a pat on the back young man, you've noticed already it is decreasing the quality of your life and I'd be incredibly surprised if that same intelligent brain didn't solve the problem shortly.
How is your reasoning? If you feel you can't "turn it off" at times, it's perfectly fine to practice reacting through a process of asking yourself "Do I really want to be angry right now?" The best answer usually in your situation it seems is a stark "no", It really works the more you try. Eventually you'll see anger only clouds the most disturbing situations further, so much so that anyone involved always never gets what is really going on, and that is people are suppossed to be loving each other 24/7 365 days a year as much as possible.
Good luck Young Whipper Snapper, YOU CAN DO IT!!!
