Anger Management Support Group
Anger management commonly refers to therapeutic techniques by which someone with excessive or uncontrollable anger can control or reduce their emotions. Typical examples include the use of deep breathing and meditation as a means to relaxation. Psychologists recommend a balanced approach, which both controls the emotion and allows it to express itself in a healthy way.
Journaling can be quite helpful, too...
I'd recommend seeing a counselor or even joining a group if possible... Good luck.
p.s. That may be redundant on my part as I didn't look at what treatments you're currently pursuing. Good luck, anyway...
I really freaked out an ex-bf one time when we were breaking up and I was just crazed with emotion and literally slammed my forehead into a brick wall right in front of him. yeh... well, I guess I was a bit of a nut job, but I'll tell ya... no one ever messed with me... having a reputation as a psycho can have its advantages, I guess.
I laugh about it now, but its still a bit disturbing to think that that was actually me! Man! I'm just really glad that I learned how to tame the beast... she still surfaces a little now and again... but nothing like back then when I was drinkin and druggin and answerin to no one.
Thank God for my kids! They literally saved me from my self!
i will suggest this tho... try ripping apart an old rag, it doesnt leave marks on you and it does get the anger out...
