Anger Management Support Group
Anger management commonly refers to therapeutic techniques by which someone with excessive or uncontrollable anger can control or reduce their emotions. Typical examples include the use of deep breathing and meditation as a means to relaxation. Psychologists recommend a balanced approach, which both controls the emotion and allows it to express itself in a healthy way.
I am not sure if your friends are really friends and maybe find some new people.
bullying is a horrible thing to go through. I went through it myself many years ago. those awful high school days. ugh, and I know how it can effect us emotionally and mentally.
I am sorry you experienced that.
it's a shame that you felt so badly that you chose to hurt yourself. I wish you had someone you could have confided in and get help instead of cutting yourself.
Have you considered counseling or therapy of any kind? that may help with any emotional stress you maybe dealing with, especially the bullying, it sometimes helps to have someone to talk with. Do they have any resources at the uni you are attending.
I would suggest exercise to burn off some of that excess energy. it can help reduce stress. I think You are under stress. Go for a run, jog, bike ride. work out, dance, something. It is better than throwing and breaking things.
I am sure you always feel badly after the outbursts and destructive behavior.
I know that journaling, writing down about how we feel, write down about what it is that is making us angry, pour out feelings on to paper or type, can be therapeutic. It may help you. You don't have to share what you write with anyone, it's just a way of releasing that energy.
"letting go" yeah it's often easier said than done. but what is the alternative?
How is it making you feel hanging on to all the resentments?
I think it sometimes help to realize that people screw up. We all screw up at one time or another. People make mistakes. consider that these people that treated you unfairly screwed up and they made a mistake. They are human just as you are human and not everyone gets it right. Sadly we may get hurt because of other people screwing up. that is the hard part to accept but is best for our health and well being IF we can learn to accept these things.
Have you ever tried any kind of meditation techniques, it's worth a try.
There are a lot of relaxing videos and things on You Tube that can help.
Also I really like this poem. I have it on my wall and I read it from time to time to remind myself to Let go and to do what it says. I think it is really helpful. I hope it helps you in some way.
