Anemia Support Group
Anemia (or anaemia), which literally means "without blood," is a deficiency of red blood cells and/or hemoglobin. This results in a reduced ability of blood to transfer oxygen to the tissues, and this causes hypoxia; since all human cells depend on oxygen for survival, varying degrees of anemia can have a wide range of clinical consequences.
I have been dealing with anemia for the 5 years by just taking over the counter iron. As symptoms appeared and I got worse I have been dealing with severe anemia for the past 3 months. I do not abosrb iron. My doctor has decided to put me in intravenous iron treatment for 7 days. I start thursday. I am really nervous, but I am so tired or being tire, feeling muscle pain, brittle hair, hair falling out, depressed, etc,.... I will try anything. My levels ( if I remember correctly) are 523 and this is with takeing perscription iron and vitamin b injections.
I need some basic info, that I havn't already found online. Help please, I also need daily support.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
I hope and pray that the iron pills will do the trick cause I have fibro, T2 Diabetes, Insomnia, Sleep Apnea, and don't want anymore thanks..LOL
This is enough to keep me busy full time to keep my health in check...ARGH!!!
I hope I don't get really stressed out about this as I feel some pain in my chest and it just could maybe be an anxiety or panic attack which I haven't had one of those in a long, long time.
