Nike's shoe program for amputees, the OneShoe Bank. This service is free. We offer one product per year, per member from limited stock in the following categories: Tennis, Running, Basketballand Cross Training.

We will need some detailed information from you, so please call us at1-800-344-6453 and a Consumer Specialist will be available to assist you. Ifthe shoe you are requesting is not available, it will be replaced with themost comparable shoe in stock. This may be a different style and color thanwhat you have requested. Please allow 7-10 business days for delivery ofyour product.

I called them today and they are sending me a shoe. It is a good thing to have for when you can't wear your leg.

Yeah, that is a neat program. I jokingly have people ask me all the time if I can buy one shoe. Too bad you can't exactly pick the one you want - I go through my right shoe very quickly because I bear more weight on the right than on my left foot. I'd love to buy a pair of Nike's and then get a second free right shoe for when I wear out the first one. Shoes for my left/prosthetic foot wear out much less quickly.

Thanks for the head's up. I'm sure that there will be many who will be able to take advantage of this program.

Yes, I was pleasantly surprised to find this info out. I hope people will take advantage of this offer even though you can't pick exactly what you want.

I do agree that all my right shoes are toast and I would love to be able to replace the right only. People too have been saying the same to me. I havent worn a left shoe in 2 years. I finally gave all my flip flops away, knowing that I really need to part with shoes I will never be able to wear again

Welcome to this group, pumped. Sounds like you are seeing the light at the end of the tunnel with your new prosthesis. The ups and downs will continue, but, for me this has been just over 3 years of constantly moving forward and acquiring new skills with my leg and even some new ways to work out. Jump in and have fun with it. That is really possible. And, no, I'm not high.

Hey Pumpedup,dont be to eager to give ur shoes away.My prosthesis,ask me one time if i wanted a foot that had a split between the big toe and the other,,i ask why,,he said where i could wear flip-flops..and im not kidding..

Hi Stork,

I was told even if I got a foot with split toes I would still need a strap in back to hold whatever type of shoe on..

Even with flip flpos on my right foot I find it not safe anymore either, so no problem...just amnother excuse to buy new sandals...LOL

I called Nike today at the number provided and unfortunately they do not have the program for Canada. The Oneshoe Bank is administered in the US and only send to the US.

Pumpedup. My foot has the split toe and I always wear rubber slippers (flip flops). The trick is to get double sided velcro with sticky tape on the bottom (I don't know if it's called self adhesive or what). You can get it in rolls and just cut off 2-3 inch pieces, stick one side to your foot and the other side to your slipper, then stick them together. For me it works best with velcro at the heel and near the toes. Presto, your slipper stays on even when you take off your leg.
