So in addition to the snow storm, a power pole went down in our back yard at 5 AM and snapped the line. So we were without power in the snow in the winter. At around 3 I decided I just couldn't take it anymore, PG&E said we will probably not have power again for 3-4 days while they fix it. We do have a wood burning stove for heat and I can cook a limited amount of things on it like soup but it was the islation I couldn't stand anymore. We are going to stay at my mom's for a few days.

Good for you, the choice to go to your mom's, heat, etc sounds just right.....

AnnemarieAMEN..I wish my parents were here too! Somedays i just want to e theoir little girl again and let them fix everything.
Mind you I am normally a very strong person the one everyone comes to for help, but I am beginning to lose that strength and can't seem to stop it. I feel it...close to throwing in the towel....but I know I won't.
Trip down here was a poor idea, half the time he doesn't know who I am now, one problem after another....including that the brakes went on the car, had to find shop , etc,etc,etc. Not enough he is failing me now the car is.
I know they say HE won't give us more than we can handle, but........
Hang in there... get away when you can.. and remind yourself.. this WON"T last forever.
