Hi All sorry Ive not been around but Ive not even touched the computer for the past few days as Ive been unwell with a terrible upset stomach that kept me more in the bathroom near the loo than in bed! Although at one point I did sleep for a straight 12 hours which Im sure I needed, I dont know what caused the problem but then my immune system now seems to be braking down so Im less resilient to any bugs going round but I feel OK now.
Well I say Im OK! apart from additional disorientation and confusion as my wife Sumi decided to start up her own caf business again last week but this time as our shop is still contracted out she is doing it from the house hence our terrace and garden has become the caf, now she is up at 2-3am every morning cooking and by 5am people are at our house shopping for their breakfast and other meals which goes on until 3-4pm each day when everything has sold out, but then has to start the preparations for the next day so Im seeing less of her now than I did before until she falls into bed at 9pm by which time Im fast asleep to be very honest its starting to make me feel less of a good husband in that (I can no longer provide and support the family properly financially) because of all my medical and medication costs
Yet I know inwardly that she is doing it as a case of Needs must but you cant imagine all the confusion and anxiety its causing me each day besides the added loneliness and with all the extra noise from the customers and children gossiping and laughing in our garden that sends my head spinning and now I cant even escape to the bedroom as the bedroom window opens onto our terrace and garden so my whole day is a frenzied noisy isolation from which I cant escape...
I know she is only outside the house yet I still go wandering from room to room looking for her and calling out her name searching for some inner security maybe Im just being selfish as all I want is to have her close at my side all the time as my support system in fighting the illness but when needs must what else can she do?

I don't think my Mom can do that anymore. I look in her eyes and wonder what she is thinking and feeling. When I ask, she'll say she's been very sick, which she does have serious physical health issues, but she never expresses her confusion anymore. Which only makes me wonder, if she worries and doesn't say it out loud. Maybe she doesn't realize it anymore? I wish her peace... she seems to have it, but is so confused...
