My husband just talked to his sister and they said something about tools....my husband has tons of tools, his and his father's before him. Of course when my husband got off the phone I asked him about it and of course he didn't remember so I called them right back. Apparently they want me to put together a package/tool box of my husband's and deceased father in law's tools to give to my husband's son! He has not called his dad but 2 times in the past 18 months, the last time was when his son was born in November! He hasn't sent any pictures of the baby or invited us to see it. And didn't even have the balls to call his dad himself and ask for them! Are they frickin' kidding?! They want his stuff before he is even dead. I haven't even thought of what to do with those tools, some are antiques. My blood is boiling.

I hear ya,that is so bad and it just makes me so mad for you. i always make excuses for people and there bad behavior but i just cant with this one..there is no excuse.. oh im so mad for you and im so sorry

I waited to get here to post this....... NO!!!! Do not give those tools away. EVER!!! My mother gave my Dad's and his Dad before him tools to her house keeper. That was over 15 years ago and it still makes me furious. Those tools were part of my history with Grandpa and my dad. The church came in and wiped out my ex's tools and kitchen equipment without asking his son or daughter............ or me first. Needless to say I was livid. He had promised lots of stuff to his kids and me (we remained close friends) upon his death and Catholic Charities got it all. At least I know his things went to a good cause but his children and I suffered for it. Not fair.

I wasn't planning anything with his tools, yes, I have sold his chipper and generator but these tools in particular that they are asking for are all his life long tools, wrenches, saws, screw drivers, etc and like I said some of them are probably now in the antique/collectible category.

My daughter made me go do the Wii Fit and do some exercise to burn off my anger and then we took my grandson to the park so I am calmer now. You think you can't be surprised anymore and then you are.

Where did yo find these people? They aren't family they're Loser's plus a lot more. It would have taken more than the Wii to calm down.

Reminds me of when my MIL died (at least she waited until she died) and one of my SIL's had their old family home burned to the ground, had the fire department come in and burn it as a training exercise and did it without asking any of the sibs if they wanted the home or anything in it.
Mom had not lived there for many years but there were things in the house that should have been salvaged, like the huge claw foot tub aqnd cyrstal door knobs. I know my husband had loved that house and those things but she hated the reminder that they had been poor as kids and she's one who thinks what she wants comes before what anyone else wants.
