I would imagine that this is common to most couples as they age. It's just such an uncomfortable subject.
Good for you , smart move.Many of us have done the same thing.
Right now with us since the hospital bed arrived I had them put it in the family room so if he has to be in in alot soon that he will still be in the center of activity.
I on the other hand just took up sleeping on the couch in the family room so I can be sure to hear him. We do what we have to do to survive. The ripples of this disease seem to hit every single part of our lives and change them more and more.

Like you said I think it's partly an emotional thing. Mom doesn't see dad the same way anymore and he probably gets frustrated.
