I am not sure who heard about what happened at the funeral so if this is old news to you I am sorry but here is the latest update for those who may not know.

After a beautiful and emotional ceremony I left the cemetery. As I drove up to my mother's house to welcome those who came to honor his memory, I received a phone call from the director of the cemetery. She told me that Rollie's family had gone to the new niche set up for Rollie's urn and they stole his urn and ashes from the niche before the cover could be sealed and took it with them. I wish I could say I made this up but they actually stole his ashes from the VA cemetery. Many of you know the past history of the trials and tribulations I had with his family during our marriage. I will not go into that here. I just want to let everyone know his urn has been safely returned and is in it's place of honor among his other veterans. No charges have placed against his family. It was really the responsibility of the VA since I had signed over his urn to their care and they wanted the least trouble. They agreed if the family gave it back no charges would be pressed. After a few days of reflection I am satisfied and glad that Rollie is where he wanted to be at the end.
